Abstract
This paper presents an application experience of monitoring of the electric activity of the partial discharges (PD) in the insulation of transformers, data of electrical tests. The determination of partial discharges intensity was produced with the aid of the electrical method of PD registration. As the measuring means was used digital oscillograph, and also digital registrar-analyzer of the partial discharges. As a result the internal inspection of autotransformer windings after emergency switching off revealed the damage and short-circuit of the forth turns of regulating winding of 167 MVA/500/220 kV autotransformer. Methods and equipment for testing XLPE cables by ULF voltage (0.1-0.01 Hz) are also considered in the article.
Keywords: Partial discharges (PD), digital registrar-analyzer, electrical method of PD registration, internal inspection, autotransformer, XLPE cables, ULF for testing.
