Abstract
The study explored the effect of Covid-19 on Covid-19 positive cases from district Nuh of Haryana, and cases were categorized based on age structure, gender, locality, occupation, block, including migrant population from adjoining areas. Our sample size constituted 4988 cases, with 70% male and 30% female selected from 7 blocks within and outside the Nuh district. We found the significant impact of Covid-19 on the Nuh block and Pingwan block showing the most negligible impact of the Covid-19. Further, our findings confirm that unemployed positive cases were highly affected compared to work in government and private sectors. The most insignificant impact was perceived by people who were engaged in agriculture as their occupation. It was found that unemployed people have no work and have no income to secure their lives from the pandemic crises. Also, there is no social protection from the public authorities to cover the insecure unemployed people from the Covid-19. It created the mental stigma with health insecurity among the unemployed Covid-19 positive cases. It is suggested that public intervention through well-set regulation combined with secure and sound health security should be prioritized, serving as a boon of security among the affected people.
